Greg Kurka worked fulltime as a piano teacher after receiving his music composition and technology degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Between 2014 and 2020, he maintained a studio of over 40 students a week in Southlake and Flowermound, traveling to houses. Greg owned and operated his business, and went fully online in 2020, as he transitioned to composing fulltime. Now, he teaches a few students that he has been teaching since 2013.

During this time, Greg's organizational skills were tested through complicated schedules, competition deadlines, and recital planning. Communicating with parents, and helping students learn the fundamentals of music helped Greg develop his interpersonal skills.
